Not everyone has the courage to change a path once taken. Here’s the story of one such individual who not only had the gumption to start anew, but surpassed all the boundaries of expectations.

From being a NIFT graduate Fashion Designer to becoming a renowned Chef, the constant companion of Aanal’s life has been her roots. Travel being her inspiration and India being her beloved gave rise to a unique, innovative and unparalleled twist to Modern Indian Cuisine.
​
When little girls of nine were busy playing doll-houses, Aanal was busy creating her first meal. And while most twenty year olds were living it up, Aanal decided to take a leap of faith and auditioned for a popular cookery show – Rasoi Show, by Colors Gujarati. From facing camera to research behind the recipes, to cooking something new every time, she enjoyed the experience and counts it as the best learning time of her life.

Her innate understanding of Indian flavours and Spices has changed the way people perceive and experience Indian cuisine. She’s one of those rare chefs who like to get down and dirty in the kitchen with spices and baking goodies, with equal élan. As much as she loves experimenting with Indian flavours & spices, she loves learning baking cakes from internationally renowned chefs and sharing stage with them for various cooking workshops.

With a quirky personality, Aanal wears many hats, Fashion designer, author, TV star, but the incomparable of them all is Her Chef’s hat. Her definition of good food is that something which enriches the mind, body and soul.

The journey which started seven years ago from Rasoi Show has come to fruition as the first milestone of Aanal Kotak’s legend, as a tribute to her love and roots, Aanal along with her husband Bhavik, has presented her beloved Vadodara with a culinary paradise in the name of “The Secret Kitchen-A Vegetarian Saga”.

Her innovative ability to combine her heritage and love of Indian ingredients and spices has won many a hearts and become inspiration for housewives and aspiring young chefs. She has brought international flavours and culinary experiences beyond typical Indian food to domestic households through her show.

For Aanal cooking is a never ending journey, for which she continues working on her cookbooks, her video projects and take her unique flair of Modern Cuisine across the globe. After 7 years of being one of the front-runners in cooking industry, Aanal Kotak is all set to cook up something even more incredibly delicious!

EARLY LIFE: 

 

This young food lover being a post graduate in fashion designing from NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology) and having experience of working with renowned Fashion Designers of India, embarked upon her dream and passion of “Cooking & Baking”. To accomplish her dream, she educated herself in the field of Cooking & Baking from a recognized training institute IBCA in Bangalore.

At just 20 years of age, Aanal achieved a tremendous breakthrough when she showcased her culinary talent on famous Rasoi Show by Colors Gujarati.

​

Because of her redefined style in cooking, she was fondly tagged as “Youngest Cooking Expert” at Gujarat Level. Apart from the innate sense of taste in all cuisines, this young food lover is specialist in Bakery items giving them a different facade.

 

She has also organized many culinary contests and recipe demonstrations with Masterchef winners Ripudaman Handa, Devyani Bhati, Mrs Nisha Verma and Masterchef Nikita Gandhi in various cities of Gujarat like Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat etc.

 

In 6 years of her unstoppable culinary journey, she has left almost no stone unturned when it comes to presenting dishes packed with amazing flavours. Being a Versatile Chef, Aanal plays well with ingredients and performs excellently when in kitchen. She delivers unparalleled taste and memorable flavours. She has gained popularity in such a short time, only as someone who can turn simple ingredients into something really incredible!
